This policy explains what information Puppy Day One collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you. Questions can be sent to puppy@puppydayone.com.
Information we collect
- Information you provide when building a plan, such as your puppy's name, age, breed or mix, household setup, schedule, arrival date and training priorities.
- Your email address when it is supplied through checkout or account access.
- An optional puppy photo if you choose to upload one.
- Plan progress, reminder preferences and basic product usage events.
- Attribution information such as UTM parameters, referral data and advertising click identifiers when they are present in the link you use.
How we use it
We use this information to create and deliver your personalized puppy plan, save your progress, provide account access, send reminders you enable, provide support, maintain security, understand product performance and measure marketing effectiveness.
AI processing
Your questionnaire answers may be processed by an AI service to generate your personalized plan. Puppy photos are stored for display in your account and are not intentionally sent to the AI plan-generation service.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate Puppy Day One, including hosting, database/storage, email delivery, AI processing and payment services. Payment details are handled by our payment provider; Puppy Day One does not need to store your full card number.
Payments
Purchases are processed through Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record for transactions processed through its platform and handles payment processing and related transaction obligations.
Storage and security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Puppy photos are stored in private storage and accessed through time-limited links.
Local storage, analytics and advertising measurement
We use browser storage and similar technologies to keep sessions working, remember attribution and support first-party analytics. We also use the TikTok Pixel to measure visits and selected actions on Puppy Day One, such as viewing the product and beginning checkout, and to understand the effectiveness of advertising. When present, advertising click identifiers such as ttclid may be stored with attribution information. TikTok may receive information such as page URLs, browser/device information, IP-derived network information and the event details sent by the Pixel, subject to its own privacy practices. We do not intentionally send puppy questionnaire answers, puppy photos or full payment-card details to TikTok through the Pixel. Other advertising measurement tools may be added later; this policy will be updated when our material tracking practices change.
Your choices
- You can turn daily reminders on or off from My Puppies.
- Reminder emails include a direct link to turn reminders off for that puppy.
- You can ask us to help access, correct or delete information associated with your account by contacting us.
Children
Puppy Day One is intended for adults purchasing and using the product for household pet care. It is not designed to knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the product, maintain records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and meet applicable obligations. You may contact us to request deletion, subject to records we may need to retain.
Changes
We may update this policy as Puppy Day One evolves. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
